New Board Members Took Oath of Office

The Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) newly appointed board members (Commissioners) took their Oath of Office in a ceremony before the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro.

The ceremony, which was held last week, was witnessed by representatives from the Ministry of Education and the staff of the FHEC Secretariat.

The new Commissioners include Mr Steven Chand (Chair), Ro Alumeci Tuisawau, Mr Sunil Kumar, Dr Niumaia Tabunakawai, Mr Paula Manumanunitoga and Mr Kameli Batiweti.

Hon. Radrodro congratulated the appointed Commissioners and wished them well in their terms of service.

“In his address, the Minister reminded them of the crucial role on hand in strengthening higher education in Fiji with specific emphasis on the TVET Sector.

The newly appointed Chair, Mr. Steven Chand saluted the work of their predecessors and vowed that they would do justice to their appointments.

The new Commissioners come with a wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise.

They will serve for a term of three years.
