Final DFAT- FNU-MONASH Stakeholder Workshop

The final DFAT-MONASH-FNU Stakeholder Workshop was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva today ( Wednesday – 09/08/23)to finalise an SME policy matrix for climate change mitigation for Fiji. The policy matrix has undergone 2 stakeholder consultations.

This project undertakes a comprehensive analysis of SMEs resilience to climate change or otherwise, it develops a framework to ensure food insecurity is minimized and will assist in identifying specific policies for SME recovery, which will boost food security.

The workshop was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs, and Communications, Hon. Manoa Kamikamica.

HECF Director, Dr Rohit Kishore, has spearheaded the project with Professor Paresh Narayan from Monash University. Professor Narayan is a former Commissioner of the HECF.
