Director of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Dr Rohit Kishore addressed participants at the Leadership Fiji 2022 – Education Session that was held at the Paradise Beverages Training Room in Suva today.
A total of 30 participants from different organisations formed the Leadership Fiji 2022 cohort.
In his presentation, Dr Kishore talked about the roles of the HEC in Fiji’s higher education and elaborated on the existing challenges and opportunities.
The aim of Leadership Fiji is to expose participants to leaders from across our society, in a structured manner, providing them with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of their country, its history, economic and social structure.
Dr Kishore also identified key issues, and strategic initiatives in the higher education sector.
The HEC Director while responding to the participants’ questions on ‘Leadership’ also provided some personal reflections.
